Why We Exist
We are living in a time when many people feel the weight of uncertainty. Families are stretched. Church leaders are carrying heavy burdens. Communities are realizing the importance of wisdom, preparation, and strong relationships. Throughout history, God’s people have responded to difficult seasons by drawing closer together, strengthening their faith, and learning to care for one another well. The Haven Project exists to help build that kind of community. We believe preparation can be done with peace, wisdom, and hope—not fear.

Our Focus Today
At The Haven Project, we are dedicated to empowering families and churches through education, training, and community building. Our current initiatives include hands-on workshops in preparedness and homesteading, comprehensive food storage and production education, and practical life skills that promote resource stewardship. We believe in the strength of supportive networks, especially within the church, to help everyone feel more confident and ready for whatever the future holds.

About the Founders
The Haven Project, an Oklahoma 501c3 nonprofit organization was founded by Randal and Tracy Dowdy.
In 2023, they sensed a clear calling to step into a new season of ministry focused on helping families and churches grow stronger and more prepared for the future. In obedience to that calling, they relocated to a new community where they began building relationships, serving within the local church, and developing the foundation for what would become the Haven Project.
Since then, they have focused on building community, strengthening partnerships, and gathering people who share a desire to live with greater wisdom, stewardship, and preparedness.
Randal and Tracy believe that the Church thrives when believers care well for one another, grow in practical wisdom, and walk faithfully with God through every season of life.
Today, the Haven Project continues to grow through workshops, community connections, and a network of people committed to building stronger foundations for the future.
